In Sestola, as per very long tradition, the feast of the Madonna del Rosario takes place on the first Sunday of October with a religious ceremony and consequent procession of the statue of the Madonna. Particularly felt by the villagers, it culminates with the launch of an aerostatic balloon in colored tissue paper, the creation of which was conceived by a Sestolese named Sincero and handed down to subsequent generations, hence the traditional "balùn ed Sincero". Even today you can taste the magic of the flight of the balloon followed, until its disappearance in the sky, by the eyes of young and old.
